A monk at whose request Buddhaghosa wrote the Sāratthappakāsinī and the Manorathapūraṇī. He seems to have been a colleague of Buddhaghosa and lived with him in several places, including Kañcīpura. Gv.68; SA.iii.235; AA.ii.874.
