Person『サーサナヴァンサ』にヨーナカラッタ（ギリシャ辺境地域）における仏教確立の功労者の一人として言及される中天（マッジマデーサ）出身の僧。
A Kassapa Thera is mentioned in the Sāsanavaṃsa (p.50) as having been among those responsible for the establishment of the religion in Yonakarattha. He was an inhabitant of Majjhimadesa.
