Nandhimitta
PersonAlso known as Nandimitta
두따가마니 왕의 주요 전사 중 한 명으로, 태어날 때부터 엄청난 힘을 지녔으며 아누라다푸라의 사원을 모독한 타밀인들을 처단한 뒤 왕의 원정에 합류했다.
One of the chief warriors of Duṭṭhagāmaṇī. He was the nephew of Mitta, one of Eḷāra’s generals. His genitals were hidden in his body,¹ and he had the strength of ten elephants. When he was a baby, he was wont to wander about, and so was tied to a mill-stone by a strap (nandhi), but he dragged the stone after him. In Anurādhapura he slew the Damiḷā who desecrated the temples, but later he joined the Singhalese soldiers in Rohaṇa and fought in Duṭṭhagāmaṇī’s campaigns. Mhv.xxiii.2 ff; xxv.21 ff; MA.ii.688; DA.i.90.
