SuttaBài kinh kể về một sa-di trở về sau khi khất thực ngồi im lặng thay vì phụ giúp may y, việc này được báo lên Đức Phật, và ngài, nhận ra chứng đắc của sa-di ấy, dặn các tỳ-kheo đừng quấy rầy vị ấy vì vị ấy có thể đạt bốn thiền mà không cần nỗ lực.
Once a novice, returning from his almsround, entered his cell and sat down in silence and at ease, not helping the monks with the robe making.
This was reported to the Buddha, who sent for the monk.
The Buddha discovered his abilities, and told the monks to leave him alone as he was one who could win, without toil, the four absorptions (jhāna) (S.ii.277).
