夫バカに川へ流されたパンチャパーパーを救った王で、バカが彼女を巡って戦争をほのめかした際、双方の大臣の仲介により、彼女が一週間ごとに交代で両王の妃として暮らすことに同意した。

A king. When Pañcapāpā was sent down the river by her husband Baka, Pāvārika rescued her and took her as his wife. Baka, hearing of this, threatened war, and it was arranged by the ministers of the two kings that Pañcapāpā should live as the wife of them both, spending one week in the house of each. J.v.443 f.
