Un moine de Dala, dans le pays de Rāmañña, ordonné par Ānanda de la Sīhala-Saṅgha, qui reçut le titre de Dhammavilāsa et rédigea l’un des plus anciens codes de lois de Birmanie.

A monk of Dala in the Rāmañña country. He was born in Padīpajeyya in the reign of Narapatisithu, and was ordained by Ānanda of the Sīhalasangha. He became one of the leaders of this group in Rāmañña. Narapati conferred on him the title of “Dhammavilāsa,” and he was the author of one of the earliest law codes (dhammasaṭṭha) of Burma. Sās.41 f; Bode, op.cit., 31.
