Sāsanavaṃsa

Biên niên sử tôn giáo của Phật giáo được viết tại Miến Điện năm 1861 bởi Paññāsāmi, thuật lại lịch sử từ khi Đức Phật đản sinh qua kỳ Kết tập lần thứ ba và các phái đoàn truyền giáo đến chín nước, đặc biệt chú trọng đến Sri Lanka và Miến Điện.

An ecclesiastical chronicle by Paññasāmi of Burma, written in 1861 A.C. The first part of the work begins with the birth of the Buddha and brings the history up to the Third Council and the sending of missionaries to nine different countries:

Sīhaladīpa,

Suvaṇṇabhūmi,

Yonaka-raṭṭha,

Vanavāsī,

Kasmīra Gandhāra,

Mahiṃsaka-maṇḍala,

Cīna-raṭṭha (China),

Mahā-raṭṭha, and

Aparanta.

Then follow accounts of the religions of these countries, a separate chapter being devoted to each. However, the accounts of Sīhala (Sri Lanka) and Suvaṇṇabhūmi (Burma) show more completeness than the others. The second part is entirely devoted to Aparanta of Burma proper. Published by the P.T.S.1897.
