Personउरुवेल-कस्सप की बहन का पुत्र एक अरहंत, जो गयाफग्गुण उत्सव में बुद्ध का उपदेश सुनकर धर्मपरिवर्तित हुआ, तथा जिसने बुद्ध सिखी के काल में उन्हें मोर पंखों की एक मुट्ठी अर्पित की थी।
He was born in a brahmin family as the son of Uruvela-Kassapa’s sister. Senaka heard the Buddha teach at the Gayāphagguna festival, was converted, entered the Order, and attained Arahantship.
In the time of Sikhī Buddha he gave to the Buddha a handful of peacock feathers (Thag.vss.287-90; ThagA.i.388 f). He is evidently identical with Morahatthiya of the Apadāna. Ap.ii.403.
