Personバーラーナシー（Bārāṇasī）の富豪の息子で、カッサパ仏（Kassapa）のもとで出家した後、著名な師となり、兜率天（トゥシタ）に転生し、後の人間としての生でも再び出家して阿羅漢となった。
In the past he had been a millionaire’s son of Bārāṇasī and had joined the Order under Kassapa Buddha, becoming famous as a teacher. After death he was born in Tusita, and in this life was born among men, with a fragrant body hence his name. He entered the Order and became an Arahant. Ap.ii.459-63.
