Tambapupphiya

一位長老,曾因罪行逃入林中,途中遇見 Piyadassī 佛的菩提樹,遂清掃其周遭並散花供養;可能即婆那婆嗟長老。

A thera. Ninety-one world-cycles ago he had fled into the forest, having committed some crime.

There he saw the Bodhi-tree of Piyadassī Buddha, and having swept the ground around it, he scattered flowers.

Three world-cycles ago he was a king named Samphusita (Ap.i.176).

He is probably identical with Vanavaccha Thera. ThagA.i.222 f.
