Un moine qui était le fils d’Upacālā et neveu de Sāriputta et de Khadiravaniya-Revata, ordonné par Revata et compté parmi un groupe de disciples éminents résidant à la Kūṭāgārasālā de Vesāli

Son of Upacālā and nephew of Sāriputta and Khadiravaniya-Revata. He was ordained by Revata (Thag.v, 43; ThagA.i.110). He is mentioned in the Aṅguttaranikāya (v.133) in a list of very eminent disciples, together with Cāla, Kakkaṭa, Kalimbha, Nikaṭa, and Kaṭissaha. They lived in the Kūṭāgārasālā in Vesāli, but when the Licchavī went there to visit the Buddha, they moved to the Gosiṅgasālavanadāya in search of quiet.
