La sixième section du chapitre Pārāyana du Suttanipāta, consignant les questions qu’Upasīva posa au Bouddha, notamment comment traverser les flots, ainsi que les réponses du Bouddha

The sixth sutta of the Parāyanavagga of the Suttanipāta. It contains the questions asked of the Buddha by Upasīva and the answers thereto (Sn.vv.1069-76). One of Upasīva’s questions was as to how the floods (ogha) may be crossed.

The Commentary tells us that he was one who had gained the formless jhāna on nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatanalābhī). SnA.ii.593 f; see also Cūḷa-Niddesa, p.101.
