Vajirā3
Place데바의 후손인 스물여섯 왕이 대대로 통치했으며 마지막이 사디나였던 도시로, 부처님이 열반한 후 그의 발우와 지팡이가 이곳에 안치되었다고 전해진다.
A city in which reigned twenty-six kings, descendants of Deva. The last of them was called Sādhina (Dpv.iii.20). The Mahāvaṃsa Ṭīkā (p.128, 130) calls the city Vajiravutti. According to the Buddhavaṃsa (Bu.xxviii.8), the Buddha’s bowl and staff were deposited, after his death, in Vajirā.
