Bandhanāgāra Jātaka
Jātaka妻の妊娠中に二度出家を試み、妻の死後についに成功する貧しい男についての本生譚で、家族の絆から解放されたことを喜ぶという話であり、仏陀が情欲の束縛を捕らえられた盗賊団を縛る鎖にたとえた際に説かれた。
A birth story about a poor man who twice tries to leave household life during his wife’s pregnancies and finally succeeds after her death, rejoicing in freedom from family ties, told when the Buddha compared the bonds of passion to the chains binding a captured gang of thieves.
