꼬삼비 근처의 시장 마을로, 아마도 밧다와띠와 동일한 곳이며, 사가따 장로가 인근 암바띳타에서 사나운 나가를 진압한 후 부처님이 이곳에 머무셨다.

A market town near Kosambī, probably identical with Bhaddavatī, where the Buddha stayed after Sāgata Thera subdued a fierce Nāga at nearby Ambatittha.

우데나(Udena) 왕 소유의 암코끼리로, 원래는 짠답빳조따(Caṇḍappajjota)의 소유였다. 우데나가 와수라닷따(Vāsuladattā)와 함께 도망치는 것을 도왔으나 노년에 홀대받았고, 붓다의 중재 후 왕실의 예우를 되찾았다.

A female elephant belonging to King Udena, originally owned by Caṇḍappajjota, who helped Udena elope with Vāsuladattā and, after being neglected in old age, had her royal honours restored following the Buddha’s intercession.
