အနန္တဝနရတနထေရ်ထံတွင် သီရိလင်္ကာ၌ ပညာသင်ယူခဲ့သော ချောဠတိုင်းသားဖြစ်ပြီး၊ နောင်တွင် ဗာလာဒိစ္စကျောင်းတိုက်၏ ဆရာတော်ဖြစ်လာကာ၊ ရူပသိဒ္ဓိနှင့် ပဇ္ဇမဓု ကျမ်းများကို ရေးသားခဲ့သည်။ ချောဠိယဒီပင်္ကရ ဟုလည်း လူသိများသည်။

A native of Coḷa who studied in Sri Lanka under Ānanda Vanaratana, became head of the Bālādicca monastery, and wrote the Rūpasiddhi and the Pajjamadhu; he is also known as Coḷiya Dīpaṅkara.
