一則本生故事，講一群野豬因水晶洞穴映出獅子的身影而驚懼，徒勞地用泥漿與自己的鬃毛想弄髒水晶，洞中的苦行者告訴它們水晶本不受汙，是佛陀就外道企圖借 Sundarī 之死誹謗佛陀失敗一事所說。

A birth story about a group of boars terrified by a lion’s reflection in their crystal cave, who try in vain to dull the crystal with mud and their own bristles until the resident ascetic tells them a crystal cannot be sullied, told in reference to heretics’ failed attempt to slander the Buddha over the death of Sundarī.
