왕의 백 아들 중 막내가 스승의 조언에 인도되어 백성의 사랑을 얻고 아버지 사후 왕이 되어, 유산을 형들에게 나누어 그들의 분노를 진정시킨다는 자타카로, 수행을 포기한 비구에게 설해졌으며 왕자는 그 비구와, 형 한 명은 사리불(Sāriputta)과 동일시되었다.

A Jātaka about the youngest of a king’s hundred sons who, guided by his teacher’s counsel, wins the people’s affection and is made king after his father’s death, then defuses his elder brothers’ resentment by dividing the inheritance among them, told to a monk who had abandoned his practice, with the prince identified with that monk and one brother with Sāriputta.
