ヴィパッシー仏の時代に在家者としてヴィナター河畔で仏に出会い、摘みたてのイチジクを供養した阿羅漢で、後のパッチャヤ長老と同一人物と考えられている。

An arahant who, as a householder in the time of the Buddha Vipassī, met him on the bank of the river Vinatā and offered him freshly picked figs; he is thought to be the same person as the elder Paccaya.
