Avantiputta
PersonVua xứ Madhurā, được đặt tên như vậy vì mẹ ông là em gái của vua Pajjota xứ Avanti, người đã đến thăm Mahā-Kaccāna và, theo bài kinh Madhura Sutta ghi lại, trở thành người theo giáo pháp của Đức Phật.
The king of Madhurā. His mother was the sister of Pajjota, King of Avanti, hence the name Avantiputta (MA.ii.738).
He once went in royal state to visit Mahā-Kaccāna who was staying in the Gundāvana in Madhurā.
Their discussion is recorded in the Madhura Sutta (M.ii.83-90).
It is said that after the interview Avantiputta became a follower of the Buddha’s teaching.
