Person카디라와니야 레와따에 의해 출가한, 짤라의 아들이자 사리뿟따의 조카인 저명한 장로로, 릿차위족의 방문이 그곳에서 소란을 일으켰기 때문에 꾸따가라살라를 떠났다
Son of Cālā and nephew of Sāriputta. He was ordained by Khadiravaniya-Revata (Thag.vs.42; ThigA.i.110).
He is mentioned as living at the Kūṭāgārasālā, which place he left when the Licchavis caused disturbance by their visits to the Buddha (A.v.133). In this context he is spoken of as a very eminent elder and was, therefore, evidently an Arahant.
