Person맛다국 사갈라의 바라문으로, 반다 카필라니의 아버지이자 수치마티의 남편이며, 그의 이름에서 그녀의 별칭 카필라니가 유래한 것으로 여겨진다
A brahmin of Sāgala, in the Madda Country, father of Bhaddā Kāpilānī. Kapila’s wife was Sucīmatī (ThagA.73; Ap.ii.583). The word Kāpilānī is probably derived from his name.
