Petavatthu
Text『소부』의 일곱 번째 경전으로, 자신의 악행으로 인해 아귀로 다시 태어난 이들의 이야기 모음집이며 담마팔라가 이에 대한 주석을 지었다. 마힌다는 아누라다푸라에 도착한 바로 그날 이를 아눌라에게 설했다.
The seventh book of the Khuddakanikāya.
It consists of stories of persons born in the realm of hungry ghosts (peta) owing to various misdeeds.
Dhammapāla wrote on it a Commentary, called the Petavatthu-vaṇṇanā, or Petavatthu Aṭṭhakathā, and forming a part of the Vimalavīlāsiṇī (GV.60).
Mahinda taught the Petavatthu to Anulā and her companions on the day of his entry into Anurādhapura. Mhv.xiv.58.
