Une confrérie monastique fondée à Pagan par Chapaṭa (Saddhammajotipāla) et ses quatre compagnons — Rāhula, Ānanda, Sīvalī et Tāmalinda — qui bénéficia d’abord du patronage royal avant de se scinder en quatre branches, chacune suivant l’un des anciens venus de Sri Lanka.

A sect founded in Pagan by Chapaṭa (Saddhammajotipāla) and his four companions: Rāhula, Ānanda, Sīvalī, and Tāmalinda.

It first enjoyed the patronage of King Narapatisithu, but later the sect split into four sections, each following one of the four elders who had come from Sri Lanka. Sās.65, 66; Bode, op.cit., 19, 23 f.
