It was the residence of Kātiyānī, Kālī, Soṇa-Kuṭikaṇṇa, among others.

Near it was the Papāta-pabbata. (SA.ii.188; UdA.307; DhA.iv.101; AA.i.246, etc.)

Mahā-Kaccāna also lived there.
