Person마힌다(Mahinda)의 스리랑카 포교단에 동행한 장로들 중 한 사람으로, 훗날 Sirimeghavaṇṇa 왕이 왕실 불상당에 그의 상을 안치하여 예우했다.
One of the elders who accompanied Mahinda on his mission to Sri Lanka (Mhv.xii.8; Dpv.xii.12; Sp.i.70; Mbv.116). King Sirimeghavaṇṇa had an image of Uttiya made and placed in the image house which he built at the south-eastern corner of his palace. Cv.xxxvii.87.
